Alzheimer's Memory Walk 2008
Alzheimer's is a disease that attacks the brain. More than likely you have heard of this deadly disease. Or perhaps someone you know and love has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Not only does this disease affect the person diagnosed but those connected such as friends and family that have to suffer the consequences of Alzheimer's disease. Can you imagine a loved one who doesn't even know who you are anymore ? Although there have been tremendous advances in Alzheimer's research, there is still no cure for Alzheimer's Disease.
Are you ready to stand up and make a difference in the life of others? You are not alone, more than 200,000 people across the nation will be on the move to push towards a world without Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association is calling on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. You can make a difference! The Memory Walk 2008 is about to begin and better yet you can start your own team! There are walks in more than 600 communities. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk that is held on a weekend morning in the fall.
