Camping

We made it back from our first camping trip of the year!  We camped and fished and cooked out on the grill.  The kids had fun catching those fish but they were to little to keep so we had to throw them back.  We seen plenty of wildlife.  Snakes,birds,frogs,fish,geese and spiders.  What more do you need to make it a real camping trip?  It took all week to pack and will probably take a week to unpack but the kids had a blast and will remember it forever! It's  all worth it in the end.

Camping Season Begins

Warm weather pushed in with the opening of Spring Break and the camping fever set in. We took advantage of the 70 degree weather and took a hike out on the KT. Better known as the Knobstone Trail. After a brief hike and loaded down with camping gear we set up for camp as we watched the wildlife and enjoyed the forest. We met a group of hikers pressing on through the woods as they enjoyed the KT also. This is just the beginning of a great year as long as the weather holds out.

Ticks and the Woods

We spent one afternoon cleaning up our camp site trimming weeds and picking up sticks. The red ants and ticks are really bad this year. We got the grill all filled with sticks and now we just need to take out the camping supplies.

Camping

Finally vacation time has come, it has been a long year but I survived. We all talked it over and I guess we are planning a camping trip. The kids are so excited they cannot wait. The weather here is so nice as long as we don't get any thunderstorms this weekend we will be alright. I wanted to buy a camper but until I get the credit cards all paid off I guess we will be putting up a tent. Planning and preparing for the next few days. Oh did I say packing (the three p's.) I will be sure take lots of pictures to share with you all.

Camping Season Will Soon Be Here

Even though it is cold today I know camping season is on it's way. I cannot hardly wait to go camping. I could live in the woods! We have been hiking and looking for that perfect camping spot and have come across some real nice sites. If you have never been camping before give it a try.
