September Days of 2013

It's fall cleaning again so that means yard sale time.  I have started cleaning out and sitting up a big yard sale again.  This summer was a busy one with appointments for everyone here and there.  We enjoyed a small field trip to Spring Mill that was rained out by the next morning ( we were roughing it in tents).  We have 8 new baby puppies that take a lot of attention too.  School has started back and the kids are working hard on their Home school lessons.  We finished all 8 projects for the fair this summer so 4-h is over till next year.  What do they say? Time flies when you are having fun or your so busy you don't know which way to turn.  Here's to a great September from our house to yours!

School has started

It's that time of year and School has officially started.  Our Home School begin on Thursday last week so we have two days in so far.  It started out a little crazy but all ended well.  The next day went a lot smoother and the kids were studying hard.  It has finally cooled down a bit so much as at night we have to keep the windows shut to keep the cold out.  Sure beats those 100 degree days we were having.  We have another new Cockatiel to add to the group.  The baby birds are growing and more eggs are ready to hatch.  It has been a great year for the birds around here.  I counted over thirty chickens the other day and the children love playing the catch chicken game.  The new puppies are running around the yard eating good and are old enough to make it on their own but the children do not want to give them away.  They have too much fun with them!  It's off to house cleaning and coupon cutting I go but here is a wrap up of whats been happening in my little world!

Light at the End of the Tunnel

I knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Feeling better each day. Sun is shining bright outside. I just got the first load of laundry done and getting ready to hang it out on the line. I have lots to do today, housecleaning, homeschooling, cooking, taking care of the couple of family members who got the flu last and did I mention start a worm farm. Yes as a part of our home school we will be starting a worm farm for fun and who knows a profit God willing. This week we are mainly studying the different containers you can use to get your worm farm started. This is exciting and pictures will follow so stay tuned.

Busy Week again

What a busy week again. We had two birthdays, Happy 21st birthday David and Happy 3rd birthday Addie! Sorry no pictures as soon as she got ready to blow out the candle I ran for the camera and the batteries were dead! I hate it when stuff like that happens. Anyway, we are getting ready for another home school year of fun and learning adventures. Even though the littlest one is only three she is smart so she is starting this year too. I am hoping she will be reading by the end of the year. Well see you all later. One more day off then I go in early for my meeting about my new job as a clinical liaison. Oh what fun!

Visiting Day

A day off and what do you know I just felt like taking the family to visit the nursing home residents. So off we went and stopped at some yard sales along the way. We had a good time and then headed east to go order Harrison some new glasses for school this year. We will be starting our home school August 15th this year and have already bought school supplies getting ready. This year will be a lot different because we will be using a whole room in our home just for school. Previously we used the kitchen table and couch in the living room, which is fine and works for some but we are ready to try something different. Hope you all are getting excited about starting school like we are. One new item for our school was the Fly computer pen. They couldn't wait to open that one and so far they like it! I think it is neat how it talks to you, so do they.
