Chemotherapy

Well getting ready to take husband to get his first chemo.  In July we found out he had double pneumonia on top of Lung Cancer. 5 days of IV Antibiotics in the hospital then test after test the last few months. Keep us in your prayers we need all we can get.

End of the 2016 Year

It's the end of the year as we know it! Goodbye 2016 and welcome 2017!  It time for change in a positive encouraging way.  Lets ring in the New Year with God first and then come what may.  Or shall I say what his will shall bring. Happy New Year Everyone!

Enjoying the End of Summer Time

As we enjoy the last days of summer in 2016 I get excited thinking about the beautiful fall colors about to capture the state of Indiana.  Time has passed fast this summer with so much happening it was hard to keep up with it all let alone write about it.  If I hadn't heard a quick tip off the Internet yesterday I wouldn't be writing today either.  So here goes for a tip to pass along to you too.  If it doesn't take no more than 5 minutes to do something and your hesitating to do it just go ahead and GETERDUN.  Then you wont have to keep worrying about it. Deer is in the freezer

Cold and rainy which is not my kinda cold.  If it is going to be cold there needs to be snow out there, like five foot of it.  But God has a plan and it was for rain today.  The deer has been processed and froze along with a few meals that the kids ate like candy.  We all love our venison. Topped with gravy and mash potato side and green beans yum yum.  I have some of the deer drying out making another family favorite, venison jerky.  Now that will be gone in no time.  Seems like I can never make enough jerky.  Guess with the next deer we get I should make it all into jerky for those home school field trips hiking through the woods.  I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Well here's to another day of living off the land and loving it.

Feeling lost without my crockpot

Yes it has been a long time since I ventured into blogland but here I am again.  The spring,summer,and fall have passed and it's cold outside again.  Guess I have been so busy outside this year I had no time to blog.  Well we were blessed with a deer again this year praise God and I have got to get it processed and put into the freezer.  I love sticking deer meat and vegetables in the crockpot in the morning then sitting down to supper already finished while I do all the other chores.  Unfortunetly my crockpot has died yes it can no longer cook those great meals for me.  So here's to having hope for another one soon.  I feel lost without it!  Take care and God Bless!

September Days of 2013

It's fall cleaning again so that means yard sale time.  I have started cleaning out and sitting up a big yard sale again.  This summer was a busy one with appointments for everyone here and there.  We enjoyed a small field trip to Spring Mill that was rained out by the next morning ( we were roughing it in tents).  We have 8 new baby puppies that take a lot of attention too.  School has started back and the kids are working hard on their Home school lessons.  We finished all 8 projects for the fair this summer so 4-h is over till next year.  What do they say? Time flies when you are having fun or your so busy you don't know which way to turn.  Here's to a great September from our house to yours!

June Updates

What a month this has been and I don't care to ever go through one like this again.  We must for sure be living in the end times because I sometimes feel like we are going through hell here on earth.  I am so thankful that God has pulled us through incident after incident this month.  Now if I could just get enough energy to do all the things that need to be done I would be doing okay.  Here's to a better rest of the year, it just has to be!

Spring Updates

Wow where has the time gone?  I cannot believe it has been so long since I last blogged!  We have been quite busy around here with mushroom hunting,gardening,yard cleanup,4-H,camping and much much more!  They say time flies when your having fun but also when you are so busy you can't seem to get caught up also :)  Well off to feed my chickens,goats and rabbit.  Have a great day out there in blogland!

SPRING IN SIGHT

We got a few more inches of snow last night and hoping this will be the last one of the season.  It is almost spring and we are more than ready.  We have a few plants coming up and need to get outside some more to prepare the garden space for this year.  We had a nice hike the other day down the Knobstone trail by Elk Creek Lake and we are also ready for some more hiking this year!  I have a new tent and sleeping bags ordered and they should be here by tomorrow.  More blueberry seeds ordered to and hopefully these will do better then the last bunch!  We also got a new bunny and a bunch of new puppies!  That's the latest updates for now.

Blizzard

Christmas is over and the Blizzard is hitting.  The beautiful white flakes are swirling around the air and landing where they may.  Southern Indiana looks like a blanket of white snow.  If it's going to be cold it might as well snow!  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Sunday Morning Church Services

We made it to church this morning and had a great Sunday lesson.  Now if I can just apply it all to my life I would be doing great.  Baby steps that's what I have to work toward just like anyone else.  Got some more shopping done today so I am one step closer to being caught up.  I have such a busy couple weeks ahead that I will running to keep up with everything to do.  Hope you all have a great week out there in blog land!

Teens and End Times

After trying to stay strong and enforce the rules of "Obey your parents" and "Do your Homework" we have came to a difficult decision to call out for help.  Sometimes teens just wont listen and what else is there to do.  Please keep my 16 year old in your prayers for the days we are living in are evil and it is so hard for him.  He tries to study his Bible and has so many attacks from this wicked world that he is in some hard times right now.  Yes it's hard for any family raising teens in the world we are living in today!  We must stay strong for them and for the other family members involved.  It will get better.  He will get better too!
