Fighting a bladder infection uti

I have been fighting a uti (urinary tract infection) for about a week now. I drank cranberry juice, got some over the counter cranberry tablets and phenazopyridine, urinary pain relief tablets. It would seem to get better then worse, then better then worse, yesterday I was supposed to go to work and it was at it's worse state, so my husband called in work for me and I slept alot in between taking care of the kids ect. I researched the web trying to find some kind of natural remedy to get rid of this infection because it is a bad one, hurting, burning, urinary frequency, little urine output ect. I thought I would try some vinegar I read somewhere on the internet but it said apple cider vinegar and I couldnt find any of that in my cabinet and I didn't feel like going to town and getting some, even the Dr.'s office came to mind but I am determined not to go spend my money at a Dr's office and I hate to go to the Dr. So I came across someone talking about baking soda helping with urinary tract infections, so I got a spoon of baking soda and put it in a glass of water and drank it, and started drinking more water, I even cut way way down on my coffee(drinking my first cup today when I usually drink over a pot a day). After not too long I felt my stomach making some strange sounds, felt alittle nausea, then made a mad dash to the bathroom twice, after having diarrhea I felt alittle better. Then the next time I went to pee it didn't hurt quite as bad. So I think I will try it again one more time and see if I totally get rid of the stinking uti. I also prayed and a friend of mine did too. So praise God,this is working.

Thrift store shopping

Got a day off and went shopping at the thrift stores. We got some new (used) coats, dresses, boots, and a new toilet. I also got two iron kettles. A new vacuum cleaner, and couldn't fit much more in the car so we had to quit and come home. We got some amazing deals, and saved lots of money compared to what we would have spent in a regular store.

Vacations Over

It was nice to have 5 days off in a row and it will probably be another six months before I get that again. Our trip to the Langfords in Tennesse was alot of fun. The kids had a blast and learned a new game while we were there. If you have never played pit you should try it. I recommend 4-7 players because that was alot more fun. I have to get ready for work so this will be short, hope you all have a great day!

I really miss my kids when I have to leave them and go to work. I would love a job that I could make enough money from home to pay the bills. Please pray that I could stay at home with my kids soon, like yesterday would be ok. Oh and if anyone would like to make a donation to help me pay my bills or you just have too much money you don't know what to do with it,or the Lord just lays it on your heart to help me out you can send me a paypal donation to sweetpea_47167@yahoo.com

Days off are over looking for a Caregiver job

I had a few days off and it was nice. I got to talk to an old friend and she has a job as a caregiver. She takes care of one person and makes more a week than I do taking care of 31 people. So I am on a mission to find a caregiver job taking care of one person in their home. I have had plenty of experience as a cna,Qma,Lpn taking care of others and hope to find a job soon. I think 150.00-200.00 a day will be a good starting pay for my services. If anyone is needing a caregiver and would like to talk with me about my services you can email me at sweetpea_47167@yahoo.com
I would even be willing to relocate for the right amount of money.

Work

I was sitting at home yesterday when the phone rang, and it was work wondering where I was, I thought I had the day off. So much for thinking yesterday because I was wrong. So I went to work and ended up staying till after midnight trying to get done. There was still lots to get done but I was tired and missed my kids so I stopped and said I'll be back tomorrow. So I have to get ready for work today. When I got to work I got my dental insurance card finally. I am going to be able to get my teeth fixed! I couldnt afford the health insurance but at least the whole family is going to have nice teeth :) One thing at a time. I have to somehow come up with my car payment, I am running low this week. So I guess I will go check out the bank account and get ready for work. I was so glad to have the weekend off and spend some time with our friends from tennessee. I was a blessing, I really hated to see them leave. If you have time be sure to listen to the preaching we taped while they were here, just scroll down and click play on the previous post and be sure to listen. Have a great day!

Hurricane Ike Strikes

More than 600 miles wide Hurricane Ike Strikes from the Gulf coast and it's not over yet. Gas prices are soaring, thousands of homes and Gov't buildings are flooded. This was a big one! I have been listening to the news much of the night and this morning they say 4 million are without power, houston hospitals are running off generators. Just another sign of the time! Keep looking up, Jesus is coming soon.

Last days of life

There is nothing on this earth quite like being with someone the last few days of their lives. Taking care of them, not knowing when the hour will come that will be the last. Those are the days of being a nurse.

Update

Ok, I guess it's time to update everyone on what I've been up to. Last saturday I got the worst charley horse in my calf that didn't want to go away, which left me with a limp. After a few days I was ok and the pain went away. So I went to work and I noticed after a few days I had about a 7 inch bruise down the front of my leg. I didn't remember hitting it on anything. So work as usual I went back, still no pain just the big bruise. Then Friday moring pain again, same place and the limp was back. Now I was starting to wonder what in the world was going on. I was suposed to work so I started getting my uniform ready, still limping around I thought, I can't go to work limping, I have way to much walking to do and my leg would be killing me by the end of the night. So I had to call in. I got a call from my Edna mom, (I have two moms)! Considering it could be a blood clot, she said bedrest and aspirn every 4 hours (since she knew I would not go to the Dr.) and drink sassafras tea. So I took her orders and by the next day the pain was gone. Praise the Lord! I have a huge bruise that is getting bigger. No pain though. So I was able to get back to work and then guess what, we had another call in and another girl was sick so I had to stay over till close to 3am. On a good note, it was Labor day after midnight so I got paid time in a half and they give me a 25.00 gift card to walmart that I was able to stop by and get some extra groceries for the kids! Then I had to get up an right back to work the next day. So I survived, and made it back, I get the day off so I have house cleaning, homeschooling, and rest to do today. In my spare time I will be searching for any way to make some extra money to get these stinking bills paid off!! Have a great day in blog land!

Cave River Valley Closed

That family fun get away Cave River Valley has a big sign on the gate and is now closed. According to the Banner Publications "CaveRiverValley presented a wonderful opportunity for The Nature Conservancy to preserve critical habitat for several cave species and the threatened Indiana bat,” said Mary McConnell, state director for the Conservancy’s Indiana Chapter. “Areas that contain populations of both Indiana bats and northern cavefish are extremely rare and therefore the protection of these areas present us with a nearly unparalleled opportunity for cave conservation in Indiana. Equally important is the additional recreation opportunities this land will provide to Hoosiers for generations to come.” In recent years CaveRiverValley has become increasingly important for hibernating Indiana bats. Prior to 1990 few Indiana bats were known to hibernate here, but since that time the number has grown significantly. By 2007, almost 1,700 Indiana bats were found here along with an additional 1,500 little brown bats and 200 bats of other species. EndlessCave is the eighth most important Indiana bat hibernaculum in the state and the second largest little brown bat hibernaculum. The Division of State Parks and Reservoirs is applying for Indiana Heritage Trust funds that will allow the DNR to purchase the property from The Nature Conservancy in the coming months. Financial partners include The Nature Conservancy, the DNR’s Divisions of Nature Preserves and Fish and Wildlife, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Nature Conservancy will transfer the property to the Division of State Parks and Reservoirs in the coming months. Spring Mill State Park will be assuming temporary management during this process. “The DNR understands the significance of this site, both from a natural heritage perspective and from a human perspective,” said Ginger Murphy from the Division of State Parks and Reservoirs. “We want to provide recreational access for the caving community, but we are also accepting responsibility for managing the unique and fragile natural communities at the site.” Caving will be allowed on the property, but the site will be temporarily closed, as all partners further assess the management needs and plan the work needed to reopen it next year. " I am sure that this will be a good thing and look forward to spending time with my family there again. Hopefully by March 2009 they will be open and we can visit our summer vacation spot again.

Canning Peaches

We are going to be canning peaches today! Our trees done well this year and we praise the Lord for it! We will be selling peach trees again next year, Lord willing.

Paying Off Debt

I paid another 250.00 to one of my credit cards today. I know it was alot but I want to get this paid and out of the way! It was due today and I had enough to cover it, but the next two weeks are going to be slim. I spent over 200.00 at walmart on the kids stuff and groceries, canning supplies ect. So We should be good for 2 weeks, I think the only thing I will have to buy is milk and gas so we will get through. I only have 3 more payments on this credit card and it will be paid! I still over 6550.69 on my car, but at least the payments are up to date as of this moment! I ask that you pray I will have strength to get all these bills paid and a spirit of protection over my children while I do so. I will owe for 3 more credit cards that I will attack one at a time when I get the last three payments made on this one. Praise God for opening my eyes to see the mess I was in and being able to have a job to pay it off. Even though the days seem long and I get weak he is still there to give me the strength I need. But I sure miss staying at home with my kids! My advice to everyone is if you have a credit card, get rid of it, pay it off. Dont get in the same situation I did. Or you will pay way more than what you actually spent!

Blessed

What a great day indeed! We went to church at Old Paths Baptist Church today and it was great! I really enjoyed talking with others that truly love the Lord! Afterwards we went out to eat and then stopped at a yard sale on the way home, lo and behold guess what they had at the yard sale, a food dehydrator! Just what I was looking for. I bought it for 4.00! Now we have peaches in the dehydrator and can't hardly wait till they get done!

Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather Flock together, as the old saying goes! Surround yourself with good happy people and you will be happy. People that like to gripe all the time only bring you down. Smile, be happy, let your happiness rub off and be blessed to know that you are a child of God! His chosen.
Speaking of birds I got some new birds that I will try to post photos of soon, gotta work today so it will not be today, they are so cute!!! I plan on doing a unit study on the different types of birds we have with the kids. It should be fun! They have been watching videos about birds and really enjoy them. One of them will fly and sit right on top of your head! Too cute!

War is not over yet!

Did you see the BREAKING NEWS — Russians have bombed and looted the city of Gori. No it's not over yet, and you better be ready because it is not good. Gather canned food, store up enough water for your family and be prepared, for you never know what may be coming to a city near you. Oh and if you have lots of money, my suggestion would be get it out of the banking system, when all the computers crash then your gonna be flat broke if you aren't holding back. Is this world war 3? Be sure your ducks are in a row and get saved today!

Bank Card

Ok, I am on a mission, one of my bank cards have come up missing. So did my kids accidently pull it out of my purse when they were getting a piece of gum or did I loose it pulling something out of my purse along the way, or did someone take it? I have searched my purse over and over and no bank card, hopefully I will run across it soon. I have to get ready for work again, and I have alittle time before I get ready. I talked to my sister last night who has been very sick and I want you all to keep her in your prayers!! I guess I will blog more later, looks like company is here.

I am tired today

Ok, I am wore out today so I guess I need to apply that verse from yesterday because my legs and back are feeling it today!! I am washing my uniform for work and found out that the lady didn't order me more uniforms when I sent my other ones back because they were to big, she happens to tell me the day that the new uniforms come in, oh you didn't fill out another paper to order more, WHY DIDNT SHE TELL ME THIS TO BEGIN WITH??? I thought she was just going to exchange them. So I told her I would just order them from somewhere else. So I have alittle time to get ready today, then I get a day off, just one then I get to work the weekend. HELP me LORD!

Peaches

The peaches are ready for picking. I am glad we have so many this year, and they are going to get ready one tree at a time. The other peach trees are still green but one is loaded and ready. Thank God for the wonderful peaches. I am selling peach trees for 5.00 each and they will be well worth your 5.00 when you have such a great turn out as this! I have to work today, this is my hard week, one day off out of six. Still working on the school room, it is going to be so nice to have a school room! My bird has been so playful this morning, he just can't stop whistling. Have a great day out there in blog land.

Blessed

A great day indeed! Our neighbor asked if we had a garden, and I told him yes a small one, he said would you like some cucumbers? I said ya sure. So he brought a bag of cucumbers and they were delicious. Then they wanted to know if we wanted some of the deer meat they had, so we like deer meat and had to turn on the freezer in the garage because there was not enough room in my freezer to put it all. They also sent corn on the cob,cut corn, cheese, bread and more!
What great neighbors!!

Visiting Day

A day off and what do you know I just felt like taking the family to visit the nursing home residents. So off we went and stopped at some yard sales along the way. We had a good time and then headed east to go order Harrison some new glasses for school this year. We will be starting our home school August 15th this year and have already bought school supplies getting ready. This year will be a lot different because we will be using a whole room in our home just for school. Previously we used the kitchen table and couch in the living room, which is fine and works for some but we are ready to try something different. Hope you all are getting excited about starting school like we are. One new item for our school was the Fly computer pen. They couldn't wait to open that one and so far they like it! I think it is neat how it talks to you, so do they.

Watch out Big Trucks!

So I called the law office and got a deal worked out for one of my credit cards. I paid 325.00 to get started and it will be 250.00 a month after that. In around 6 months that bill will be paid in full! They were actually pretty nice this time. So then I was on my way to work Friday evening when all of the sudden this big enterprise box truck comes over the center line right at me, I turned the wheel but had very little room to the right so sharply turned it back and was on the road with an abrupt jerk. After realizing I was still alive and OK I could feel my heart pounding!! God had to of pulled me through that one because that truck was headed right for me! So I made it to work and after a long night's work I get home and the kids had been playing with the toys in my room. So I shut the light out and all of the sudden while walking to my bed I land my foot on something that crunched! It hurt pretty bad so I decided to go back and turn my light back on to find my jewelry box, crushed. I guess they had decided to play with that too! So my glass in my jewelry box is crushed and my toe is bleeding and now I am really hurting! I just thank God it didn't cut my toe off! So my son help me get that bandaged up and off to bed I went, slept like a baby!

Pay Day Time to pay some bills

Direct deposit is great, if you dont have it you should. You dont have to waste all that time running to get your check and making it to the bank before it closes. Direct deposit gets a thumbs up! First I will pay tithes and since I have my car payment up to date it is now time to start on the big bad credit cards, one at a time! Today I will make that dreaded call to the lawyers office to set up payment arrangements on my credit card bill that they want to take to court, pray for me that I can get this mess straightened out quickly. I have to work today, so I have little time, see ya

Cave River Valley

We took our summer trip to Cave River Valley this year and the thunderstorm hit right in the middle of grilling our supper. So we loaded up and moved to the cabin, finished eating our supper, (what we got cooked before the storm hit) and listened to my oldest son play some music on his guitar. We still got to have a little fun even though the tents never got set up!

Summons Credit Card Bills Get Out Of Debt

Well I guess they have been as patient as they could, so since I have been back to work a whole month now, I have got my car payments up to date, with one due on the second which there is no way I can pay for two more weeks because that is when I get paid again, and I spent hundreds of dollars in bills friday when I got paid. Now I have enough money to get back and forth to work for the next two weeks.
Sunday morning I am sleeping when I hear someone beating on the door, and then they start ringing my dinner bell outside. So I get up and peek out the window and its the cops! Oh they just have a summons for one of the credit cards I owe on so I guess this will be the next one I attack. I am so tired of bills, if you have a credit card and cannot pay it off in the same month throw it away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ASAP It will only double and then some on finace charges, ect ect. It is not worth it!
I am getting ready to head back to work today with a mission that IS Possible, Pay Off those bills!!!!!!!
Have a great day out there in blog land and remember I can do all things through Christ who strenthens me!

Why are you working outside of the HOME?

I know some of you are wondering, why is wahmof6 working outside of her home??? Is that not against scripture, well not according to my husband who at this point and time thinks this is what I should be doing. Hopefully some day soon I can come back home where I am to be. My goal is to pay off the current bills, car payment, credit cards, (which is another big no no, I would never suggest anyone to get even one credit card, they are TROUBLE!!!)hospital bills, and the home business taxes, then save enough up for some land to buy to raise these kids on. That is my goal, then hopefully I will get to stay home with my kids. Who knows, maybe some miracle will happen and I will get to come home before then! Awaiting for that great day when our Lord and Savior returns, Shona

Well I got my uniforms finally, but since I have started working again I have lost about 10 pounds in less than a month. So the uniforms are TOO big! One way to look at it is I am glad I lost 10 pounds! Hope I loose about 50 more!!! Have a great day out there in blog land.

The kids caught some fish and have an outside pond in the old bathtub, and put a catfish in the fish tank in the house. And what else did we come across today, oh ya a snake, so after they got done playing with it, (NON POISONOUS) one they let the poor thing go! The 3 baby kittens we found have been moved so mama cat moved them too because we were playing with them to much I guess, they were so cute though! I hope she bring them back into view soon. We have a few dozen eggs in the incubater that will be hatching in about a week or so and a few chickens that have decided to sit for awhile too! Oh what fun on the farm!

My Hershey's House Party

Here is a link to my Chocolate party, wish you all could of came, it was fun!

Long time no blog I know

Well it has been a while since I wrote, I have been very busy. I have also been keeping a close eye on news events as the earthquakes, tornados and end time events have been rolling quite quickly. I have even considered going back to work due to the lack of making enough money from home to pay the bills. Just long enough to get my bills paid off and get a few items we could use in the end times we are living in. A nice place in the country would be great but I will start off with the main items first like get my car paid off and oh yes pay off those credit card bills! So I will keep you updated with what I do and hope you all have claimed Jesus as your savior and be ready for you never know when the time could come.

Warning on Cash4offers

There are alot of great click to earn sites out there I know but I just wanted to share my experience on the site cash4offers. If you are like me I just figured they would pay like the other sites I do and boy was I wrong, they owe me over 25.00 and I cashed out and they said I had to complete 16 more offers to get paid. WHAT A SCAM! I would not do this site ever and warn you all not too or you will probably be in the same boat I am. The cashout is 25.00. But when you go to cashout, beware you may get the same message I did. I hope not but I wouldnt pass it along as a great site like some of the others are. Cash4offers.com is a big THUMBS DOWN WAHMS!

Earthquake 5.2 April 18,2008 Yes I felt it!

I was sound to sleep when all the sudden I woke up and thought what is that noise? I looked over across the room and it looked like the whole room was shaking! I had a light fixture that sounded like someone was standing there shaking it. I woke up my husband and he said oh it's just a dream and went back to sleep. I thought it was an earthquake, so I got up and the baby woke up too. I knew it wasn't a dream because I was awake and the light was still shaking! I walked into the living room and thought something was definitely wrong and I was not dreaming it! I turned on the tv and heard the news channel say they felt the tremor too! I knew I wasnt sleeping so I am just monitoring the news and waiting to see if there are any aftershocks. The last earthquake I rememeber was in 1987 when I had my first child so it's been at least 20 years since I felt and earthquake! Just another sign of the times, Jesus is coming! Get ready!!!

Strange Things Happening

The other day it was between 20-33 degrees or so and on our way to another city we saw a bird coming down out of the sky toward the windshield of the car. We noticed this bird had something in it's mouth and it got right in front of our windshield when we saw the bird had a snake in it's mouth! I have never seen a snake in February but sure enough I have now. I thought that snakes hibernated in the winter in Indiana!

BE Nobody's Valentine!!

Good afternoon everyone! Just wanted to share this site with you all. http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/tracts/tract6.html
Homeschooling today has been quite interesting! Instead of giving valentines we are reading and discussing reasons why if your a christian you wont want to be handing out any valentines! This is another one of those pagan holidays that we will not be observing and hope you might reconsider too! Have a great day,

WAHM

Today I am thinking about what all really makes up a wahm. (Work at home mom) Does the phrase wahm have to actually mean making money at home? The more I think about it the more I think I am going to change my subtitle from Helping others make money from home to Helping others wahms to do God's Will. Or something to that effect. What I have found is that being a work at home mom doesn't have to mean making money at home. It means much more, like making sure the children are properly fed and cared for. Teaching them the will of God for their lives. Preparing meals and being a helpmeet for my husband. Housecleaning and learning to be keeper at home. Now these are some examples of being a real "wahm"

UFO

Have you ever seen a UFO? If so I would love to hear your story. I am researching ufo's and would like any input you can give me on them. I know in the bible it reads
Jeremiah 10:2Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
Matthew 24:24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mark 13:22For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Luke 21:11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Luke 21:25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
So are ufo's the works of the antichrist? What are your thoughts?

MONDAY Monday

Good morning everyone in blogland! Well I hope you had a wonderful weekend, it's a great big 14 degrees here with lots of sunshine. We got to go out this weekend to some thrift stores and guess what we found. An incubator for our home school! We got a great deal on a $380.00 incubator for around $25.00! We tested it and it even appears to be new! You can't hardly beat shopping at thrift stores that's for sure, unless its free. Our goal is to get some eggs from some type of exotic birds which we will probably have to buy online.
Today I have already started on my online work and the site I worked on this morning is one you can earn cash and prizes for free and I have been paid over and over with them, I actually have 50.00 on it's way and could cash out for another but I think I will save this for the big 100.00 cash out. I play in my spare time, there are different games you can play, I like the banko bingo game because I can clean my living room while the numbers are being called! If you would like to sign up and start earning cash and prizes free then join me at http://www.netwinner.com/signupCode/blessed and get started right now!
Well it's time to crank up the old wood stoves again, hope you have a great day and I will share more if I get time between everything else.

Update

Hello again! Well this month is already half gone. I have to make a trip to the Dentist today, one of the boys has a tooth they need pulled. It has snowed about a 1/4 inch so I don't think the roads will be too bad, unless it starts snowing while we are there. I have the wood stoves going strong and it is nice and cozy in here. I have to get busy on my housework and getting all these kids ready to go to the dentist. Also on the weight loss goal for the new year I have lost 4 pounds so far, it is hard but I must do it! Anyone else have weight loss as a goal this year? Well hope you all have a great day, gotta go for now.

Storms moving through

Good afternoon, hopefully everyone is safe and sound with all the tornado weather out there! This week in our homeschooling lessons we are moving on to Exodus, having completed the entire book of Genesis. There are many lessons you can learn from the book of Genesis. I encourage you to begin a unit study on the whole book of Genesis if you are looking for Bible stories that really make a lasting impression and a foundation to build upon. Bible readings make the best History lessons available. Why not start today!

A Day of Rest

Finally a day of rest, but there is still so much to do you say. I know same here but rest will help for the week ahead. If you think about it, Sunday is really the first day of the week looking at a calendar so what would be the 7th day. Saturday, yes that right! Now let's look at the scriptures in Exodus chapter 20 verses 8-11.
8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Take a day off and get that much needed rest!

Time

Don't forget your time here is short. Use it wisely. Live each day as it were your last, who knows it may be. What really matters? Just some points to ponder.

Happy NEW Year!

Happy New Year 2008 is finally here! I have some goals I will be working towards as I am sure many of you do. Who knows we may have some of the same goals we can work on together!
Goals for 2008
1. Read my Bible more
2. Loose weight
3. Get organized

Now this will be enough to get me started how about you? What are some of your New Years Goals? Thanks for sharing and good luck!
