Stomach Flu Gone

Praise God the stomach flu has left us.  It was back to work around here as normal today.  A few times some nausea came sweeping in but we were all able to keep going and say good bye flu!  The little children finished reading all the books for the November book it program and was able to score them a free pizza tonight, way to go kiddos!  Keep up the hard work and read read read!

Living each day to the fullest

With each day I must count my many blessings because you never know when it could be your last. I have been thinking about my sister and the good times we used to have. Growing up when we were small all the things we went through together, good and bad. We were friends forever! It's hard to believe she is gone but since I know she believed in Jesus I don't have to worry. Her famous words, "I love you more" stick in my mind. Thank you God for the time we got to spend together before she had to go. Praise you God that we can live forever with you in our hearts!

Birth pangs and Earthquakes

Looking at the news the birth pangs are getting stronger! If your a bible reader you know what I am talking about! Prepare to meet thy God Almighty!

Fighting a bladder infection uti

I have been fighting a uti (urinary tract infection) for about a week now. I drank cranberry juice,got some over the counter cranberry tablets and phenazopyridine, urinary pain relief tablets. It would seem to get better then worse, then better then worse, yesterday I was supposed to go to work and it was at it's worse state, so my husband called in work for me and I slept alot in between taking care of the kids ect. I researched the web trying to find some kind of natural remedy to get rid of this infection because it is a bad one, hurting,burning,urinary frequency,little urine output ect. I thought I would try some vinegar I read somewhere on the internet but it said apple cider vinegar and I couldnt find any of that in my cabinet and I didn't feel like going to town and getting some, even the Dr.'s office came to mind but I am determined not to go spend my money at a Dr's office and I hate to go to the Dr. So I came across someone talking about baking soda helping with urinary tract infections, so I got a spoon of baking soda and put it in a glass of water and drank it, and started drinking more water, I even cut way way down on my coffee(drinking my first cup today when I usually drink over a pot a day). After not too long I felt my stomach making some strange sounds, felt alittle nausea,then made a mad dash to the bathroom twice, after having diarrhea I felt alittle better. Then the next time I went to pee it didn't hurt quite as bad. So I think I will try it again one more time and see if I totally get rid of the stinking uti. I also prayed and a friend of mine did too. So praise God,this is working.

Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather Flock together, as the old saying goes! Surround yourself with good happy people and you will be happy. People that like to gripe all the time only bring you down. Smile, be happy, let your happiness rub off and be blessed to know that you are a child of God! His chosen.
Speaking of birds I got some new birds that I will try to post photos of soon, gotta work today so it will not be today, they are so cute!!! I plan on doing a unit study on the different types of birds we have with the kids. It should be fun! They have been watching videos about birds and really enjoy them. One of them will fly and sit right on top of your head! Too cute!

Watch out Big Trucks!

So I called the law office and got a deal worked out for one of my credit cards. I paid 325.00 to get started and it will be 250.00 a month after that. In around 6 months that bill will be paid in full! They were actually pretty nice this time. So then I was on my way to work Friday evening when all of the sudden this big enterprise box truck comes over the center line right at me, I turned the wheel but had very little room to the right so sharply turned it back and was on the road with an abrupt jerk. After realizing I was still alive and OK I could feel my heart pounding!! God had to of pulled me through that one because that truck was headed right for me! So I made it to work and after a long night's work I get home and the kids had been playing with the toys in my room. So I shut the light out and all of the sudden while walking to my bed I land my foot on something that crunched! It hurt pretty bad so I decided to go back and turn my light back on to find my jewelry box, crushed. I guess they had decided to play with that too! So my glass in my jewelry box is crushed and my toe is bleeding and now I am really hurting! I just thank God it didn't cut my toe off! So my son help me get that bandaged up and off to bed I went, slept like a baby!

There is HOPE!

Well I guess you all have been wondering why I have not posted alot lately so I have to let you in on the secret. I have been reading a book, yes thats right a book that is completely changing my life. This book is a must for any woman! If you are having problems in your marriage or just want a heavenly type marriage you really should read this book! Where can you get hay these days?

After searching high and low I have come to the decision that finding hay this year is going to be a chore and a half! With the drought this year the availability of hay has took a sudden decrease. I thank God for uncles though because My Uncle Jim brought me some hay for my animals today and refused to let me pay him. This will get me through until I can get a few cities away to purchase what little bit they have left. My goats and horse was more than happy! So if your thinking about purchasing some animals that require hay you may want to check out the hay availability and price in your area. There may not be any at all!
